Fatal Accident at Cheltenham:- On Thursday last, as a gentleman’s carriage was driving at a steady pace by Henrietta Street, H. Artus, a girl 6 years old, ran against the horses and was struck down by the wheel, which ran over her chest before the coachman could possibly be aware of the accident, and killed her instantly. A coroner’s inquest was held at the King’s Head Inn before John Cooke, Esq. Coroner, and a verdict returned of accidental death with a deodand of 20s. upon the wheels. No blame whatever attaches to the coachman. The footman who sat behind the carriage on this unfortunate occasion, was the person who attended the late Lady Mostyn at the time of the melancholy accident which caused her death.
